Shoe drive to benefit those in need in the Houston area

In light of the flooding in Houston from Hurricane Harvey, Da Vinci Foot & Ankle clinic in Thomson, Georgia and in Greensboro, Georgia is coordinating its ongoing global shoe drive to benefit those in need in the Houston area. The community is encouraged to drop off shoes of all sizes at the clinic’s Thomson office at 1043 Washington Road in Thomson, and at 1031 Village Park Dr., Ste. 103, in Greensboro, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, through the next 30 days.
Da Vinci Foot & Ankle is coordinating shoe distribution in the Houston area through its non-profit Surgeons of Service. Shoes are taken for granted but an entire community is now without simple necessities, said the clinic’s Dr. Chris Menke. “Individuals have lost everything and our mission is to help locally and globally. We want to help as many people as possible through our shoe drive!” For more information, call (706)-597-0102 in Thomson, GA and (706)-999-9994 in Greensboro, GA.
